Stress Relief. Physical Fitness. Self Defense. Community.
Our adult students often begin training with one goal in mind and ultimately find so much more. The Adult Program at Cho's Taekwondo is centered around creating the best version of our students and ultimately begins with overcoming the unknown and stepping onto the mat.
On the mat you will find adults of all ages and backgrounds. From Local Law Enforcement to Grand Mothers - stay at home parents to World Champions. Our adult students come in every shape in size up through age 70.
The atmosphere in our Dojang is very welcoming and encouraging while being built on the firm understanding that effort in not optional and ranks will be earned. This foundational belief ensures that students will push past their comfort zones during exercise, learn new techniques developing memory and full body coordination, and most importantly - gain a full understanding of the mental and physical aspects of Real World Self Defense.
This process of learning combined with the traditional aspects of our Martial Art result in genuine confidence and self improvement.
Beginner (Monday/Wednesday): Beginner classes focus primarily on establishing a strong base for your entire Martial Arts Journey. Students should expect emphasis on proper technique and the development of Taekwondo conditioning and flexibility.
Students are encouraged to go at their own pace and adapt to our style of Taekwondo. AIMAA Curriculum, Self Defense, and Kickboxing Basics will be covered.
Advanced (Tuesday/Thursday): These classes are reserved for students ranking Green Belt and Above. Advanced material from AIMAA Curriculum will be covered as well as in depth sparring strategies and the varying approaches to Real World Self Defense.
Classes are 1 hour in length and include partner drills, sparring, and traditional practices.
