The Action International Martial Arts Association (A.I.M.A.A.) is an innovative and leading martial arts organization dedicated to serve as the unifying body for Tae Kwon Do and all Martial Arts styles. AIMAA was founded by Grandmaster Hee Il Cho in 1980 and has been steadily expanding in size, knowledge and support ever since. AIMAA is a service oriented organization which has kept an open mind as to remain progressive with its incorporation of training techniques. It is not the intent of our organization to unite systems in terms of styles, however, to recognize each style for its unique qualities and to unite the great universal spirit of peace and harmony - the fundamental elements found in the studying of all styles of martial arts.
AIMAA is an organization founded on the philosophy and principle of being able to provide as comprehensive and complete training structure as possible. Our organization provides and promotes seminars by Grandmaster Hee Il Cho and other senior representatives of the affiliation. AIMAA is a no politics organization dedicated to providing members a direct line of communication with its headquarters in order to best provide support to each individual school and student. AIMAA is an affiliation established for the support of its members and the betterment of Tae Kwon Do and the Martial Arts. |
Traditional Martial Arts pursue a noble purpose: it serves the individual, but also the community and the art. These three areas complement each other, rather than stand alone; it is a lifelong journey that enhances every aspect of one’s life.
Cho’s Tae Kwon Do Center pledges to provide world-class instruction in a setting that welcomes these goals to be achieved. We serve each individual student through a rigorous curriculum which is characterized by patience and discipline for both the student and the instructor.
The training is hard, a commitment is necessary, and discipline is paramount for success. This is what will make an individual achieve his/her goals, by becoming more fit, confident, and continue to develop a character of a non-quitting spirit. As the individual betters him/her self through the martial arts, the greater good is served by developing responsible citizens with strong moral character for the community.
At Cho’s Tae Kwon Do, while we provide the rigorous training, there is a unique bond among us. There is a true sense of “family” – “community” – “team” where cooperation and camaraderie flourishes freely among people from all walks of life and at all ages. The ages of the students at our school range from 4 to 80!
For over 3,000 years the tradition of the martial arts has been to focus on the needs of the individual and the larger picture, society. Cho’s serves as a committed center to this goal, passing on the knowledge and the art from one generation to the next, as has been done throughout the life of martial arts history. The foundation of our curriculum lies with the Tae Kwon Do Aims to Achieve – Courtesy, Integrity, Self Control, Modesty, Perseverance, Indomitable Spirit – to foster respect of self and others, loyalty, humility, honesty, character, to the greater good of our community, our nation, our world. |
FAQs
What should I look for in a school?
A good Martial Arts School is never just a business. A good Martial Arts School develops an individual mentally, physically, and with strong character.
At Cho’s Tae Kwon Do Center this has been our goal for the past 30 years. We currently serve approximately 200 families and we have earned their respect and trust. It is something we would never compromise. Master Philip Ameris has studied the art for the past 40 years and is a seventh degree Black Belt. While he is Grandmaster Hee Il Cho’s highest-ranking student and Technical Director of the AIMAA (Action International Martial Arts Association) he continues to be a solid example and student of the art.
Highest Quality Teaching
Instructors are the backbone of a good martial arts studio. They must not only be masters of their art, but have the ability to communicate this in a positive, disciplined, yet nurturing way to their students. Their martial arts experience is a way of life.
Integrity
While other studios or schools use the “become a black belt in a year” gimmick, Cho’s absolutely refutes this brand of martial arts. We don’t believe in quick sales or gimmicks. At Cho’s Tae Kwon Do Center you will be involved with the most knowledgeable martial artists in the area. They will nurture and encourage you in the quest you set for yourself in martial arts. We don’t compromise our methods or our tradition.
Again, a good martial arts school is never about being a business. Our goal is to develop each student mentally and physically to be the best martial artist he or she can be.
